Created by the world-renowned Moment Factory, Alta Lumina tells the tale of a traveling music-maker who takes to the skies in a hot air balloon. As you follow the 1km pathway through the towering pines, the forest comes alive through a sophisticated blend of light, video projections, and an original soundtrack. Throw in some marsh mellows toasted over the fire (available on the tour) and interactive games it's a great alternate if you have kids in tow.
In winter, the lights dance off the snow-laden branches, creating a crystalline wonderland that feels like stepping into a storybook.

One of the reasons we love recommending Alta Lumina to our Atlas Ski Co guests is its accessibility. It’s the perfect evening out for families with little ones whose legs are tired from ski school, but it’s equally enchanting for couples looking for a romantic, atmospheric stroll before dinner.
The path is gently undulating and takes roughly 45 to 60 minutes to complete, allowing you plenty of time to linger at the most impressive installations without feeling rushed.

Opening Hours: Alta Lumina is an after dark experience, so opening times shift throughout the year to align with nightfall.
- Winter: Typically starts between 17:30 and 18:30.
- Note: Departures happen every 15 minutes. It is highly recommended to book your time slot in advance as peak dates sell out quickly.

- Youth (5-15): €10.00 - €12.00
- Infants (0-4): Free (but a ticket is still required)
- Family Pass: Discounted rates are often available for groups of two adults and two children.

Getting There: The trail is located at the Lac des Écoles area. During the winter season, a dedicated shuttle bus often runs from the centre of Les Gets (near the Chavannes lift) directly to the site.
